General Taxidermy Information

Rules and Regulations

Whitetail harvested out of the state of Florida must be fully caped out.

If traveling out of state, contact myself or a taxidermist in the area.

Most taxidermy shops charge a minimal fee for caping out a deer properly.

This fee is much less than obtaining a bad mount and having to remount.

Waterfowl Information

Waterfowl quality all starts with the hunt.

Keep your bird in a cool dry place and remove any obvious blood.

Bird should be placed in freezer bags with the head close to the body.

Feet should be wrapped with damp paper towels.

NEVER use panty hose, vacuum sealing or newspaper to store your bird.

Panty hose and newspaper accelerate the freezer burn process.

Vacuum seal bags will imprint themselves permanently on the feathers.

Name, address, telephone, harvest info and signature should be on the bag.

Harvest information is the bird type, quantity and location killed.
